About Our Store
St. Kilda is a small Brooklyn-based company influenced by its surroundings. Our intimate Park Slope store is a showcase for my locally designed and handmade jewelry. Here you can see the largest assortment of pieces, and my new designs appear in the cases regularly. Located in the former Conservation Plumbing storefront, our Fifth Avenue store also doubles as our studio. We're nestled among indie boutiques, quaint restaurants, and resilient neighborhood mainstays all with that unmistakable Brooklyn charm. We also curate a large case of St. Kilda jewelry at the legendary ABC Carpet & Home just north of Union Square in Manhattan. Beyond that, St. Kilda can be found in small boutiques worldwide.
All of our jewelry is made locally. New York City is rich with generations of skilled craftspeople and I won't even consider having my jewelry produced anywhere else. We exclusively use recycled metals and conflict-free stones in all of our designs. We strive to be authentic and we do this by maintaining close relationships with everyone involved in producing the St. Kilda line. Every piece is finished with great detail here in our studio and we hope that the spirit and intent infused in each bauble is passed onto the wearer.
Many of our designs are delicate and require care when wearing and handling. To preserve the integrity and finish of our jewelry, please remove when sleeping and showering.
Our signature wire necklace fasteners rely on tension to keep your necklace secure. The wire hook easily slips in and out of the hoop on the opposite end of your chain. Please do not bend or pull apart the wire fasteners as this will relieve the tension with the potential result of the necklace slipping off.
We are happy to repair, adjust or clean your St. Kilda jewelry if necessary. We stand behind every piece we sell. There may be a fee connected to this service depending on the situation.
Taking care of your jewelry ensures years of wear. All our pieces are made to endure and meant to delight for generations.
Any special order for jewelry (anything not in stock at the time of order) can take 6-8 weeks to produce. Although it's possible you will receive your order before then, we do need you to be aware of this order time. Orders must be paid in full before we put anything into production.
Returns are accepted within 7 days of purchase for store credit. There are no returns or exchanges for altered or sale items. No returns or exchanges after 7 days.
Many of our pieces are available to order in gold or silver. We can often customize jewelry to suite your taste e.g. changing the type or color of stone or altering the metal finish. If you see something you like, please ask us about our customization options.
Beyond making adjustments to existing styles, we offer custom design and production services. Custom orders require a 50% nonrefundable deposit to start production. Make an appointment to sit with me to discuss your ideas. I design your piece and upon approval have it made. We can work with a variety of metals and stones. I have even worked with existing heirloom stones to create new pieces. The possibilities are nearly endless.
